Four months before 2022's elections I used this illustration to join a growing number of people on social media demanding and working for more diversity on parliaments, city halls and state governments. We want to see more black, indigenous, trans, disabled and other feminist women joining Brazilian politics.
In Brazil we women represent 52% of voters, but we are a minority in the chambers of deputies: before this election there were only 17,3% of us there.*
The flag says "Dias mulheres virão" and can be translated both as "Women days are coming" and "Better days are coming". It's a playing with words since the word for women ("mulheres") and better ("melhores") are written very similarly.
